Product Details - Microphone Queuing

Download Microphone Queuing fact sheet:Download Microphone Queuing fact sheet:

Only available from IML, Microphone Queuing software instantly identifies members of the audience wanting to speak and automatically places them in a queue to talk.

The system gives all audience members an equal opportunity to speak and ensures that your Q&A sessions are inclusive and accessible to all.

How does Microphone Queuing work?

Identify audience members

Audience members are given a personal identification Smartcard, which is inserted into the top of the Communicator to activate it. The Smartcard stores their name and other details such as company name and job title.

Join the queue

Those who want to have their say can join the microphone queue simply by pressing a button on their keypad. They can leave the queue at any time by pressing the same button again.

As participants join the queue, their name is displayed on a live monitor, enabling the presenter to choose who will speak and how long for.

When a delegate has been called by the presenter to speak, their name, alongside live video footage of them speaking can be displayed to your audience.

Anonymous vs Identified

Participants can remain anonymous when accessing the queue. In this situation, their Communicator will display a number showing them where they are in the queue.

Our mic’s or yours?

Microphone Queuing can be used in conjunction with the built-in microphone on IML’s Communicator keypad or with any microphone system.

Benefits

Greater control over live Q&A ensures a more focused and structured debate

The presenter can control who speaks and how long they speak for. Participants who have spoken can be blocked from speaking again and microphones can be de-activated at any point. Managing the time people have to speak will give more people a chance to have their say.

Balanced debate

Notes about audience members can be stored on their personal identification Smartcard and will appear on the presenters monitor alongside their name when they access the microphone queue. This will enable the presenter to facilitate a more balanced debate by choosing speakers with a range of diverse views.

Effective time management

Microphone Queuing indicates how many participants want to speak, enabling the presenter to set time limits accordingly. This facilitates a more efficient Q&A process, providing more audience members with an opportunity to speak.

Ease of use

Use Microphone Queuing with the built-in microphone on the Communicator and eliminate the need for roving microphones at your event.

Fast

Microphone Queuing software speeds-up the entire Q&A process, giving more audience members the opportunity to speak.

Fair and democratic

The microphone queue can be operated on a first come, first served basis. The faster a delegate accesses the queue, the higher their place in it will be.

Accountable

A record of every speaker is available at the end of conference.
