IML provides Channel Nine with The Worm
IML provided Channel Nine with The Worm during 60 Minutes’ 2007 election debate, televised live across Australia.
A live studio audience of 90 undecided voters used IML’s audience response keypads to rate their approval and disapproval to what they heard during speeches from then Prime Minister John Howard and Opposition leader Kevin Rudd.
Live audience votes were polled moment by moment throughout the debate and an average result was represented on-screen by The Worm.
When the audience approved, The Worm turned white and climbed up the screen and if audience reaction was negative, it turned red and plummeted down to show their changing opinions.
The Worm was shown live on television screens throughout Australia to give the nation an instant representation of voter’s opinions.
