Enter your name and phone number below, along with the time and date you would like us to call you back.

Software Licence

In order to run QW8 software with the Communicator keypads, a licence dongle will need to be fitted into the parallel or USB port on your computer.

The dongle stores the total number of keypads that you are licensed to use and also stores a list of the IML products and features that you are licensed to use with the keypads.

The dongle is portable and can be transferred between computers, enabling you to run the system from different computers (as long as you have QW8 loaded onto them). QW8 can be loaded on to as many computers as required.

PC requirements for operating IML Question Wizard 8:

IML Question Wizard requires the operating PC to have the following minimum specifications:

Microsoft Windows 2000®, XP® (all Service Packs).

User privileges (Power User) or above are required by the operator to run Question Wizard.

"Administrator" privileges are required to install IML Question Wizard.

Presentation Software:

You will probably want to use Question Wizard with a presentation program. Microsoft PowerPoint® 2003, 2002/XP or 2000 is recommended.

Macromedia Flash Player 8® is required to run the Question Wizard animated text displays.   This can be downloaded free from the Macromedia® website.

Hardware:

Computer PC with 500 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended (single or dual processor system). Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended.
Memory 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended.

Drives CD-ROM or DVD drive for Question Wizard software installation.
Display Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor.
Communication Port

One available serial port. (i.e. COM1)

The serial port is required for the communications link to the Communicator base station.

This may either be an integrated port within the PC or an external USB-serial port.

Note: For IML Infra-Red keypads an integrated serial port within the PC is required (i.e. a USB-serial port is not compatible).

Parallel Port

An available parallel port.

Required for:

The IML licensing HASP dongle.

A printer.

If a parallel port is not available, IML can supply a USB HASP dongle upon request.

Keypad & Cursor Controls Keyboard and Microsoft@reg; mouse or compatible pointing device.
Sound Card

Not essential for the IML system but recommended for the PowerPoint® user.

Printer If you wish to use the IML Reports then you will require a default printer driver installed (although you do not need to have a printer connected).

To poll an audience you will require an appropriately licensed HASP dongle.   This is supplied by IML on the purchase of Question Wizard.   Without a licensed dongle, you can use Question Wizard 8 with up to 5 handsets for the purpose of evaluating the product.   If you do not possess the handsets, Question Wizard may be used in simulate mode.   Simulate mode enables you to fully evaluate the software without handsets or a licensed dongle.
