Q and A

Audience response systems for question and answer sessions

The built-in microphone on IML’s Communicator keypad will enable you to hold more efficient and effective question and answer sessions where everyone gets an equal opportunity to speak.

Holding Q&A sessions that are inclusive and accessible to all will provide you with a greater insight into the opinions of delegates who may not normally get a chance to speak.

How the microphone works:

Audience members wanting to speak activate their microphone simply by pressing a button on their Communicator keypad.

The microphone system works on a first come, first served basis, so the first to activate their microphone will be the first to speak.

When someone is speaking, all other microphones are deactivated to prevent interruptions from other audience members.

Need more control over your Q&A sessions?

We recommend IML’s Microphone Queuing software for a more structured and focused debate.

How it works:

Audience members join the ‘queue to talk’ by pressing a button on their Communicator keypad.

A list of people who want to speak is displayed on a live monitor, enabling the presenter to select who will speak and control how long they speak for.

The speakers’ name can be displayed live to the audience when they’re speaking.

Microphone Queuing software can be used in conjunction with the Communicator’s built-in microphones or with any other microphone system.

Other benefits:

  • IML’s system speeds-up the entire Q&A process, granting more time for debate and discussion.
  • Feedback is instant and can be displayed live to your audience within seconds.
  • The chair has greater control over the direction of the meeting.
  • All feedback is saved to a database, enabling you to post responses to unanswered questions on your company website.

We also recommended these audience response products:

Live voting

Gauge audience opinions on subjects raised during question and answer sessions by getting them to vote with their Communicator keypad. Microphones

Avoid the need for roving microphones; use the built-in microphone on the Communicator keypad to increase the efficiency of your Q&A session.

Microphone Queuing

Message Manager

Audience members can use the Communicator keypad to text-in their comments and questions. You decide which messages will be displayed live for discussion during your Q&A session.

enotes

Teams sitting in a round-table environment can use IML’s laptop based audience response system to send in their questions and comments. The system enables you to quickly choose the most important messages to be displayed live for further discussion during your Q&A session.
